Walking Through The Dark

Contributed by Dr_Calm on Thursday, 10th July 2003 @ 11:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

I walk outside and feel the wind blow,
But yet, the leaves are silent,
My eyes are transfixed,
By all that can be seen,
Yet neither the moon or the sun,
Lights my path
Darkness surrounds me,
I have vision, and I don’t stumble,
Moving with great care,
Forward I must go!
The path back to where I came,
Is known, and worn, and easy,
The path toward the unknown,
Is new, and unfamiliar, and,
Full of danger and risk,
So, with my eyes focused,
On the foggy path that lays ahead,
One foot of stone steps ahead of the other,
My feet follow my minds edict,
Move forward!
Discover what is hidden in the fog!
Soon, you will hear the rustle of the leaves,
And feel the warmth of the sun, on your face.

Nice write

To move out of the dark
and into the light
if only you'll do it
Makes everything right...

Shari,

Thanks, as always for checking out the poem. I actually wrote it 3 or 4 weeks ago. As I check out some of the titles and poems on here....there just seems to be very little optimism sometimes.

Take care,
Jeffrey

Nessa,

Thank you again for taking the time to read and comment on "Walking Through The Dark". I have to admit, I checked out your profile, so your words of encouragement carry a little extra weight, as far as I am concerned.

Thanks again.

Jeffrey

P.S. If I recall your profile correctly, it said you are an author. I was wondering what types of things you write. (If that is prying too much, please forgive me and ignore the question).

J.
