corrupted pain within

Contributed by InteruptedFate on Thursday, 10th July 2003 @ 08:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

her eyes are red, due to stress.
her body aches of pain.
her cuts and scars are covered up,
with big and little band-aids.

treated with such disregard.
her cheeks are stained with tears.
her taste buds used to salitness,
her mind is hidden in fears.

nothing to revel in.
nowhere to hide behind.
she listens to the chants of cruelty.
hateful remarks remain inside.

her heart is never taken,
but always broken instead.
her soul is never painless,
and her head repeats mean things once said.

she has no one to listen to,
so she talks to herself.
she avoids the mirror at all costs,
and she wastes away on a shelf.

her cheeks no longer rosy,
her heart no longer brave.
her cuts turn into bright pink scars,
she thinks she cant be saved.

she trys to hide, who she is inside.
shes never been caught smiling,
shes never been seen with a friend,
but instead shes always seen crying.

hidden in a corner,
smitten by her pain,
she cuts her wrist once again,
and hopes to waste away.

So sad yet so true. I know how it is to be treated that way and I often wished people would have realised what pain they had put me thru. I was just lucky enough to have some true friends there for me. Great write.

This was a sad and very true write. It was greatly written. I understand how it feels to be tease and taunted just because you aren't up to societies standards. Its a shame that this is human nature to do this. every year there is a new kid brought into this world that will have to suffer such hatred and all we can do is raise our kids differently and let them know its not okay to inflict pain on someone else just because they are different. `day`

This is a brilliant write, i can relate greatly to this, yet i get asked why i hate people so much, after 10 years of this, i think i'm finally broken.

But others can be stronger than me, and whilst i am here i will always try to help those who need it.

I know how some of those feelings are, being taunted and teased... this was a wonderful write, and I'm glad you thought to address this problem... I think it's horrible how we treat one another, and for such petty, meaningless reasons. Keep up the good work :)
