Lying on this golden beach under the moonlit sky
Everything seems so utterly perfect – all my life
I’ve searched for this, something so beautiful
So strong, so calm, so sad but beautiful.
Listening to the oceans moan, and I can’t stop crying
Watching these stars I feel like my heart is flying
And I can’t believe I nearly gave up all of this
…I didn’t know such beauty could exist.
I curl up in a ball and stare silently to the sea
I think how I almost lost myself to the black inside me
And I lay for hours, thinking of how you saved my soul
Tended my wounds and made me feel whole
Always guiding me through the hurt in my mind
Nessa, you’re the mother to me I could never quite find

I stand up, with my tears still wet on my face
And I hold my arms up to the golden rain
And I scream, and I shout away all my pain
And I’m beginning to feel beautiful again
And it’s because of you, my saving grace
You’re an angel, and that will never change

And to the heavens I shout your name…
