I cannot say I know much about Africa, one of many continents on our earth.
I have never planted my feet on this land's soil.
I can only imagine and see in my mind what textbooks and the news show me in their worth.
Africa is vast in it's people, cultures, and rich in land with much toil.
One and only one thing I am sure of, I have a friend in this far away place.
His name is Joseph, a man with a coat of many colors.
One with much love in his heart toward God, creation, mankind, a smile always on his face.
One so special, respects all that God has created, included of all earth's brothers.
Joseph was born of a large close knit family.
He is very wise in his talk and actions, highly regarded by all.
He has taught me many great things, remembering forever to be.
I love my African friend, which I believed we were together called.
Joseph, truly a man with a coat of many colors, this is who he is forever.
Colors of a rainbow, beautiful and awesomely bright.
Yes, he is a black man, only of skin, from the tribe of Mensah, never to sever.
A man of rich heritage, me holding on to his soul, wrapping our friendship ever so tight.
He has shown me how to have much love for my God, myself, and others.
I love my African friend, one day to see him face to face.
A dream, for both of us, which we will never smother.
Understanding this concept in a friend, a joy to experience, never an issue of land or race.
