Topic: war

Ho scritto la dichirazione dell’independenza
Con mio sangue per l’inchiostro
Ed una spirita più forte del ferro,
Forgata; e temprata nella guerra e violenza.
Ho servuto la patria con tutta fidatezza
Ed adesso devo morrire, ma rimango libero:
Una vita è spenta; ferma nel nero-
Cosicché la paese può vivere in lucentezza.

Sto combattando alla fine amara!
E vorrei morrire; che cadere
Per uno sacrificio faccio ora
Muoio in battaglia, un martire
Cosicché gli altri possono vivere ancora
Lontano, dalla guerra che tutta fa soffrire!

Some corrections for you to ponder over:

line 2: "Con mio sangue per inchiostro" (take out the "L" and the apostrophe)
line 4 "Forgiata" not "Forgata"
line 5: "Ho servuto la patria con tutta la mia fiduce"
line 6: "morire" not "morrire"
line 9: "Sto in lotta alla fine amara!"
line 10: same problem as line 6
