Love is like a stairway,
each and all us climb.
With every love a step we take,
to find our love sublime.
With every hurt we travel on,
we climb the stairs so steep.
You must not rest on your way up,
there is no time for sleep.
Some become so weary,
on the trip so long.
Some will stop and rest a while,
in this they are so wrong.
We all have the need to be happy,
to find a love so true.
And if we stop on our way up,
what is our love to do?
So climb the stairway oh so steep,
and always looking up.
Your love you'll find at journeys end,
when you reach the top.
