anonymous (im still here)

a child turns lonely as the day falls
and as days fall he cries out for someone
a child turns into a man and he's still wondering why he's so much like his father

the alcohol seems to help but every time he becomes more of what he hates
no one bothers to speak to him
how could they know that all he needs is to speak his mind

he surrounded by words of strangers
who claim to understand his wounds
its comforting at times
and at times its frustrating
because he knows they could never be there to hold him when he cries himself to sleep at night

he has a new found love for that numb feeling
caused by self medication
his facade of happiness keeps everyone at distance
its a pity that he could never ask for help.
he knows he is his father
he's scared
i wish i could change myself.
i wish i could change.
i dont want to have to feel numb to enjoy life.
theres always death to look forward to.

theres always a new day to look forward to
new pain i haven't known yet
and maybe a moment of happiness that will
help me live to another day.

i know that this is not the end....not yet.
