I look at my sister,
She's feeling such pain,
I never realized the truth,
I almost lost her that day.
I accuse her of nasty stuff,
Lying and cheating and such,
But I never stop to consider the facts,
I just assume that I know it all.
I contribute to her low self-esteem,
And think I'm teaching her a lesson,
When in truth I'm adding to the pain,
That she must deal with everyday.
I wish I could tell her I'm sorry,
But why should she listen to me?
I'm just the sister that hurt her,
Without ever giving a second thought.
So now I'll tell her I love her,
And hope she hears me through pain,
Put down that knife, little sister,
I've realized, to me you mean the world.

| Oh my!!! this poem brought tears to my eyes. I wish I could hug both of you right now.Sisters will always fight. But to write a poem and admitting it to the world that you were wrong has made this poem a work of art. Be proud of your self.And always show your love even through bad times. I wish I did. |
