Alone

Contributed by wild_heart_of_fire on Tuesday, 8th July 2003 @ 12:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Instigated memories
Flowing through my head
They sing their painful melody
As I lay here in my bed

Staring at the ceiling
Wondering if this is insanity
The clock ticks my life away
As I breathe, mechanically

The emptiness fills my heart
As I think about days past
The bruises still fresh on my body will fade
But the pain will always last

Maybe I should end it all now
So he can’t hurt me anymore
Maybe I should just walk out the door
And try to make it out on the streets somehow

All these thoughts goin through my head
And all I can think about
Is being better off dead
Maybe by mornings light

I will no longer have to fight

I will no longer be anyone’s problem

Instigated memories
are flowing through my head
I hum their painful melody
As I cry here in my bed

Alone.

This is so very sad...so touching.. but don't ever think that you'll be better off dead. Let me tell you how I felt today...last year about this same time..I thought of ending my life.. Today..I cried like a baby when my brother and his family left from their vacation after spending the last 3 weeks with me...and only because I thought of what I would have missed out on if I had done it last year.....I'm so glad I didn't give up..You shouldn't either...
Hugs
Jenni
