I wish you to feel peaceful and happy
For someone to hold you, your hand, your gaze
For them to share your unrest, your sorrows, your frustrations
For them to protect you
I wish to see your face glow when you find the one you love
I wish you to be loved truely, unconditionally, forever
For you to feel safe
For you to feel cherished
For you to be content
For these feelings to last a lifetime
I wish you a home filled with the laughter of your children
For them to have the purity, honesty and beauty of their mother
For you to be overwhelmed by the love surrounding you
For you to cry spontaneous tears of happiness
I wish you a life filled with angels
Protecting you when things are bad and lifting you beyond the heavens in times of joy
I wish not for you to like yourself,
but for you to love yourself with the passion you deserve
For you to know we all have downfalls,
but only you have an unforgettable combination of strength and vulnerability,
Honesty and peace,
Pure innocence and inner beauty that fills a room when you enter
Only you speak straight to the heart without ever uttering a word
Only you can comfort with a glance
Calm with a hug
and ease the mind with a smile
Only you can open a cold heart and remind it how to feel, to be hurt, to love
I wish for you to grow old alongside the one you love
For you to tenderly hold your great grandchildren
For you to reflect on the years that went before and smile
a wise, loving, knowing smile
To feel absolutely content as generations of love surround you
To look back and realise all your wishes have been fulfilled
To look ahead and wish some more, dream some more
I wish all this for you my beautiful girl
All this and so much more
