Pitch Black

Contributed by Crow on Monday, 7th July 2003 @ 03:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Twisting steel out of control,
slams hard back to earth
once through the rail.

Mere flesh and bone
tear and break,
as metal moans bending to form.

Last minute thoughts,
I wonder what.

Two lives are gone,
no names to live on.

Late in the night
pitch black if you will,
just me, spirits cast.

The cable grows tight,
the pulleys turn.

Screams of the metal this time....... Crow

[things I see in the dead of night]

In the world of Buck Rogers
Where all is on the shelf
You plug in Longitude and Latitude
The car takes you by itself.

It's then that dent and crash
will be a thing that is past,
I guess until that time
accidents are 12 for a dime
