Just a Sunrise

Desperation is setting in
I guess it's that time again
I'm turning the wheels as fast as they'll fly
But I didn't get off work until 2:45
My heart races, my muscles are tense
Calling for the spot where the whole world makes sense
I just want to sit on the bench by the lake
Where nature and progress meet and my heart always wakes
To hear the sound of my steps on the gravel
And let all my pent up emotions unravel
It'll be near six, and people will be about
But I know I have the heart to block them all out
To hold off the daybreak, I pray to the skies
Just let me get to Austin to see the sun rise

I live by one of the great lakes and that is my way of centering, I love watching the sun rise over the lake while we fish....thanks
