You Can Not Break Me
Don’t erase me
Don’t forget me
I can’t forget you
You’ve burned yourself into my soul
Don’t forget what you did to me
Don’t forget that I survived
You took control over me
But I’m still here, I’m alive
I picked myself up off the cold, cold floor
And decided then and there
I will not let you rise above me
You will never again have the control
You took so much from me
But there is one thing you’ll never get
You can’t tame my wild heart
You can’t tame my wild spirit
Don’t think for a second that I’ll stay silent
Soon the world will know
You can’t get away with a crime like that
You’re a fool for thinking so
Your threats did not make me falter
I will rise above the pain
What you did will not go unnoticed
I will not let you walk away
Oh, and another thing…
No matter what it takes
I will find myself again
You tried to tear my spirit down
But I remain unbroken.
