Meet Me At Midnight

Contributed by juliette on Saturday, 5th July 2003 @ 04:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Meet me at midnight, under cover of the sky,
With the stars to light our way, surely we can fly
Away from this world, we are always better off alone
Just you and me, with all the Earth to freely roam.
Meet me at midnight.

Meet me at midnight, leave all your worries back at home
We can just forget awhile, make a shelter of our own
Beneath the troubled clouds, find a haven from the rain
In the dark of night, search out a place to ease our pain.
Meet me at midnight.

When the sun is shining, our lives seem so secure
Nobody could imagine either one of us needing more
Than all the material things we have to show
But there is no way that they could know
This love that lies dormant deep inside
Your heart and mine,
Always waiting for the right time.

Meet me at midnight, under cover of the sky
We will pretend until, the time comes to say goodbye
Until we gain the strength, to make this feeling right
I will wait for you, meet me at midnight.
