One More

Contributed by juliette on Saturday, 5th July 2003 @ 03:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

If I could ask for one more day with you here
Another night to have you near
Another morning to wake up in those arms
That held me so tight, kept me safe and warm
One more sunrise, one more breaking of the dawn
Before you move on.
If I could dream just one more dream surrounded by you
Another meadow for us to frolic through
Another desert where we could lay down and make love
So passionately, the way it always was with you and me
One more try, another chance to make you believe
Before I set you free.
If I could only cry one more tear for you to wipe away
Another smile, if you could just paint one more across my face
Another touch, to burn this feeling I never can replace
This love that won’t let me escape-
One more sunrise, one more breaking of the dawn
One more try, another chance to make you believe
Before you move on
Before I can set you free.

Oh my god... you made me cry with this... it's one of the most beautiful pieces of writing I've ever read, and I mean that. You should rush yourself more often! :)
