Finally, a Happy Poem

Contributed by TeenageEmoGirl on Wednesday, 2nd July 2003 @ 07:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I hope you're not just leading me on
Cause your footsteps I have traced
And I'm not exactly sure
What boundaries we've placed.
I'm not sure what the right words are to say
To tell you how I feel
I'm not sure how to explain
How I know this time its real
I love life when you're happy
I can't stand life when you're blue
And if she makes you happy,
Then my days are sunny too.
Even though you don't feel the same
And you love her instead
I hope the lines you've used with me
Are from your heart and not your head
Let's just take it slow and we'll see
Where this road leads us to,
And maybe somewhere along the way
I can finally admit its true
That an emotionless girl like me
Into love head first has dived
That for the first time in my life,
I'm happy to be alive.
Happy to take this breath,
Happy to live today,
Confident in my feelings,
But confused in what to say.
So take these words and hold them close
Take these words and hold them true
Hold these words close to your heart
And remember them with the next "I love you"
Because an emotionless girl like me
Has never used those words before
But I guess this time it's different,
Cause I'm not so scared anymore.

YAY!!! You seem happy again!! Lol sorry, I'm glad that you are veering away from that other guy, and it will be best to take it slow with this guy. If anything happens between him and his girlfriend then you can be there as his shoulder to cry on and then just see where it leads to. Another great poem, get writing some more happy or funny poems, it might make you feel better and it's obvious you CAN write them aswell. Hehehe look after yourself,
luv stacey

Your poem is great...
--------------------------------
If every single suicide
would read your poem instead
There'd be far less self-killing
to cause one to be dead.

Then folks would come to realize
another day will dawn
and things will look much better
and bad feelings will be gone...
