ANGLE OF INCIDENCE
I cried alone again last night,
I didn’t want company.
I wanted to let myself leak out
To see what I’ve made of me.
And everything before my eyes
Held no hint or sign of pretence,
And I feel as if I’m trapped within
My own angle of incidence.
I find that people are taken aback
By my honest and open way.
I am straight-forward - perhaps abrupt;
They recoil, and turn away.
They all reflect a person they’re not,
They wear masks, but no conscience.
And all I wear is armour made
Of my angle of incidence.
My reflection is not false,
What you see is who I am.
I console myself by challenging you
To be yourself - if you can!
You can hide behind your mask,
It is your only defense.
For I can see through your disguise
From my angle of incidence.

You need to believe in yourself first and that is the person you should be...I wish more people would just be themselves
