Unseen Beauty

Contributed by deadly_blaZe on Saturday, 28th June 2003 @ 04:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: PoemsonBeauty

u call me beautiful
a 'dark angel' in ur eyes
well this angel has fallen
n im lost inside ur lies

(show me wut i dont c
there is no beauty 2 b found in me)

tears cascadin slowly
makeup down 2 my chin
forever i cry on the outside
depression conquerin within

(show me wut i dont c
there is no beauty 2 b found in me)

so many feelins...
never shone
hear me whimper
hear me moan

the many many peices
of my once 'beautiful' face
lay scatterd across the floor
my soul iv seemed 2 misplace

nothin left 2 show
nothin left 2 find
all traces of myself
have all been left behind

i really relate to this one. i can't bear to have people tell me i'm beautiful and no matter how much they say it, i know i'll never believe it. it sounds corny, but maybe the beauty your friends see is on the inside rather than just skin deep? i have no doubt that you have a beautiful soul.

great poem but i think it would be better if you use 'proper' english - you know, 'to' instead of '2', etc. it just makes it more mature :) keep writing, Kate x

True beauty is an internal thing, if you do not see your beauty within you will never see that which reside on the outside either.

My friend, there is no true beauty on the outside. What is on the outside fades away all too soon. True beauty is in the heart, and shines through the eyes. Tears are a sign of true beauty. Don't tell me you're not beautiful.
Blessings,
Andrew
