The abysm of silence

Contributed by venkat on Friday, 27th June 2003 @ 06:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

While my heart is breaking into pieces
Why don’t you have mercy upon me?
When my eyes are dripping tears of blood
Why are you silent, O God?
Have you no time and leisure to listen my cry?
For whose sake thou art existent?
For whose sake thou hast created the world?
Art thou really existent?
If thou art, is there no place
for compassion in thy heart?
Why hast you created me as a man?
Why hast you chained me with fetters
of the world like wife and children?
Why hast you destroyed my hopes and
Wrought me pain in the hands of deception?
Why hast you imprisoned me in this body
And nailed me on a cross of suffering?
As my life is turning into darkness
Grief is dancing like death on my heart and
My heart is now crushed into pieces, pieces
Why are you looking at me so cold?
Where is your mercy? Where is your love?
If your heart is a stone, then turn me into a stone
No, I don’t want this life on earth; decide it now
Whether you turn me into a stone or you take
My life and merge my soul into thy infinite light
Or you hush me into thy dark abysm of silence!!

A poem of great depth
-------------------------------------
A poem so dark, yet, you are able to mark
a light from the heart, so bright, the spark
well, who made the light and the spark, Hark!
It was the mark of the poet, himself....

this one surprised me...very dark compared to your usual...you write it well...so sad...BUT NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR SHARING GRIEF!!!!...when you have emotions like that, it is best to get them out...furthermore, no one can deny the talent and passion here...it is a treasure, don't apologize for it...
hugs
your friend
kara
