The Decay of Child's Day

Contributed by norm on Thursday, 26th June 2003 @ 08:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: AmericanTragedy

If every day is Child's Day
And kids are cherished, as they say,
The hue and cry around the earth
is so the kids adopt at birth,

Tell me when you've got some time
The reason for the kidnap crime
Why child abuse is on the loose
Why foster care is just a ruse.

Why education in this nation
seems restricted, like a ration
Why PE can't be taught at school
but rather taught online to fool.

Why music, art is put on hold
until the child is much too old
to get a proper good foundation
to broaden them for pure sensation.

Please tell me when you've got a mo,
The Smartie who allots the dough?

Hello Norm long time no see
Thought you'd like to hear from me
In UK now schools rate in tables
kids are treated like horses in stables
the better their exam achievements
the higher position their school receivements
It's nothing to do with education
it's a get your exam results situation
Never mind music, art and sport
they no longer count for aught
