Without You

Contributed by Jeff_Scott_Morehead on Thursday, 8th August 2002 @ 07:00:26 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I looked out my window, on a cold snowy day,
counting the moments since you went away.
I keep wondering how long, I’ll feel like this inside,
as I keep wiping the tears from my eyes.
I never knew what I was letting go,
till the loneliness without you, continued to grow.
The light in my eyes has all but since gone.
as I wonder how long I can continue to hold on.
It was a night like this, on a cold winter's day,
I watched you walk out, and I didn’t ask you to stay.
Our problems weren’t few, and our emotions were high,
as we decided it was time, for us to say goodbye.
I can still see you walking out that door,
As I remember my heart sinking to the floor.
What a fool we were, giving up so fast,
without giving our love a chance to last.
Now I struggle for self control to maintain,
as I look out the window, and the snow turns to rain.
