Sensitive To It

I guess i sorta am,
You would be correct ma'am.
To it I am sensitive,
but I wont let it change the way i live.

I've been like this for fourteen years.
Its gotten easier to push away the fears,
but these looks that i still get,
with me they will never sit.

I've earned my peers respect,
every challenge they've given i've met.
but the greatest challenge is yet to come,
few will face it but i am one.

So ma'am to answer your question,
this life is not for everyone.
Few like me through this gate have passed,
I am the first but i will not be the last
