Treat Me This Way

Topic: SadPoetry

Why do you treat me this way
You leave me with nothing to say
You are that little boy
That treats me like your toy

This isn’t how you should treat me
For I am a girl you see
You gave me life
But you also made me use a knife

You should have known I had enough
But still I had to remain tough
You made me suffer
While you became tougher

You treated me this way
Each and every day
You make me want to leave
And I’m no longer able to believe

You make me cry
You make me want to die
I felt everything was my fault
Until someone said halt

It’s not your fault you’re treated this way
But please don’t runaway
For dear
We need you here

I feel so ashamed
And nothing is tamed
I’m sorry I had to run
But because of you I will use a gun

I can no longer face
What lies in your space
So I try walk
But you still force me to talk

I don’t want to talk to you
After all you’ve put me through
Why cant you understand
It’s your fault you couldn’t control your hand

Leave me alone
For I’m soon going to be without a tone
I hate you dad
You left me being sad

What if I died tonight
Now that wouldn’t make you feel so bright
How would you feel inside
Yeah it makes you want to hide

Daddy remember I am no longer alive
Because you made me unable to survive
You made me cry
You made me want to die

I really hope this hurts you
For its nothing compared to what you put me through
Learn from the past
And you might be able to last

But you never learn
So now it’s my turn
This is the pain
That made me insane

Daddy good-bye
I hope you cry
See you never again
For now you live in a pen

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
