My Disorder

Contributed by Silent_Rain on Monday, 23rd June 2003 @ 04:45:00 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

My disorder

The boredom eats at me like a starving parasite
Discontent, pacing, head racing
Body ready to go into battle
The boredom drives me mad
Leaving me mad, angry and alone
Feeling worthless
I count the minutes as they slowly drag by
Where am I going
What am I going to do
I need to go somewhere
For my soul does not rest here
Anymore
Shaking back and forth
For I can not sit still
No where to go and nothing to do
There is plenty to do
But the discontent
Drives me mad
Nothing is filling the void
I have so much I want to scream to the world
But not yet have I spoken the words
The mental state my mind rests in…

i could relate to this. that feeling where you're tired and weary of everything - emotional lethargy, totally soul destroying. but it is a temporary feeling, i promise. i like the simplicity and raw emotion in this write. welcome to YPDC, check out some of my poems if you like, Kate x
