Worry not what future holds,
God’s Good Book rings true.
Sleep away to ease the pain,
Enjoy your waking hours too.
You have lived a long full life,
Rest as you deserve to do.
Worry not of all of us,
You have trained us well.
After all of your hard work,
No more storms must you quell.
I am here to keep your kids straight,
And help them up with they fell.
You have given much to me,
It’s time I give to you.
I give to you some of my time,
Spent with, and thinking of you.
I give to you this one short poem,
Plus prayers dedicated to you.
How I wish I could do more,
But what more could I do?
I wish that I could ease your pain
And cheer you up when blue.
Alas, I can’t, but there are two things...
I’ll always love and remember you.
