Tonight I come to you God
not to ask of myself, but for another
To give him the strength and will power he lacks, to walk away when he craves the evil crack
Tonight I come to you God
not to ask of myself, but for another
To help him understand,
love does not come from a threat or a knife in the grip of his hand
Tonight I come to you God in hopes my prayers you will hear
To answer them and help take care of the other to whom to me is very dear
Amen
