If I could be alone with you,
With no one else in sight,
Would you tell me that you love me,
And really make my night?

If I had just one hour with you,
I'd have some way of knowing,
If this is just some passe' thing,
Or is my love for you still growing?

Alone with you, I will admit,
Would be a waste of time.
Deep down in my heart I know,
You never could be mine.
