Transcendental Talent

A "magic carpet ride" of words
springs from the silver screen
a "corridor" of images
whose like I've never seen
lifts my imagination
far above this mortal role
and I wander with the gods
communicating soul to soul
She who leads me "by the hand"
through the heavens above
teaches me to understand
the joy of perfect love.
The world becomes a better place
more beautiful it seems
and I am reborn as she "spins
her thread" and "Weaves her dreams".

Ven' I know I've fallen well behined with my comments. Several reasons really not the least of whch has been the garden. It's not just the time needed to do it but the time needed to recover from doing it. (theres a little poem in there) I'm nearer 80 than 75
Secondly "norm" and I have been engaged in a long string of private messages. We are finding that we have a great deal in common
My early poems and comments seemed to come easily but of late everything has been taking me so much longer. My mind has been greatly expanded, first by you but then by many others. One grows taller, sees more and therefore treads more carefully
(there's another poem in that)
Excuses made.........I will be catchimg up with old friends today so look out for some "expired"
sorry I meant "inspired" comments later. |

You may have noticed a growing appreciation for your work in my comments on your last two or three poems. But your last one is so exceptional that I wanted to do an exceptional comment.......... |

I've always thought her poetry remarkable but her last three or four are quite delightful.
I just wanted to do a special comment. |

To say the least a perfect feast
of imagery near and wide,
The thing I think at very least
please take me on your ride.
I ain't that big, I ain't a tyke
much room I will not take
while weaving, spinning and the like
please take my brother, Jake...

Michele, I've been missing you greatly
not seeing so much of you lately
I assume your problems still demand
that you are needed to lend a hand
My problem is I've singled out
one of several I rave about
like Val and nessa and 'specially you
methinks I have some more to do.

The bus is there
the ride is free
there's plenty room for you and me
It's like a trip to wonderland
so let her take us by the hand
relax, enjoy (she'll understand) |
