Let me live for truth!

Contributed by venkat on Friday, 20th June 2003 @ 10:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Thou art our father, our creator and our savior,
Thou knowest all positions and all things of universe.
Thou hast names of different deities, yet
Thou art the only one bounteous omniscient almighty
We will not sell thee for any price, not for a million
nor for a billion nor for an infinite amount of gold.
Thou art the Lord of countless wealth of heavens
Give us long life with vital force and the space
Where we can live as thy children of love and freedom
O Lord! Confer on us thy blessings and thy happiness
I will offer thee thousand flowers of worship
I will offer thee thousand hymns of devotion
I will sing thee my prayers of love and adoration
Thou art the eternal fountain of joy
in the misery desert of the world.
Be like my father or my mother and bless me always
In perfect unison this yearning hymn of mine
that hast known thy light has sung forth thy praise.
As a lovely wife embraces her beloved husband
So my spirit encompass thee O my Lord of heaven.
O Lover of songs, may my songs encompass thee
On all sides and may they be loved by thee!
O Lord, Thou hast made the Sun, ageless star
To mount the sky conferring light on men
Thou, the effulgent One, art the supreme light of
Bliss consciousness. Bless me that Bliss consciousness
Best and dearest art thou by my side, O father,
I grasp thy garment’s hem as a child and follow Thee
Think of this child and give me thy wisdom supreme
Thou art mine and I am thine, supported by thee
May I answer all who defy us and my self live for truth!

With such devotion to your Lord, you must truly be at peace within yourself ... I would die for just a small piece of this happiness ... Jan

lovely images and strength of faith. But again I need to know more about the faith, when where and by whom it was first realised.
