Night Terrors

Contributed by squeesh on Friday, 20th June 2003 @ 06:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Oh no what did I do
What’s this life inside of me
Is it conceived
Or dead as the rest of me
I don’t know what I’ve caused
And this joyful mistake has ruined my life
One night of fun
Leads to so much pain
I’ve ruined so many lives
And there’s nothing I can do now
I’ve created this ‘gift’
But I’m so young
Everyone will be so disappointed
Their faces shocked with despair
My body’s shaking I’m not sure what to do
I can’t be a mother
I can’t even take care of myself
Daddy won’t be too happy
I’m horrified as the names slip into my mind
My mother’s words screaming in my brain
And tears are streaming down my red cheeks
I can’t kill my baby
I can’t give her up
I’m petrified to tell you
My body will tell you now
I can’t take this confusion
Why’d it have to happen to me
I just didn’t want to be little miss innocence anymore
And now I’ll pay
With the bath drawn
Words of sorrow written
I reach for the knife
The poison slowly going through my veins
The blade drags across my skin
The icy water enters my body
My skin is pale and disturbing
I took two lives tonight
And the hearts of all who cared
I know can’t see your faces
Or your disappointed tears
My baby will never see the happy joys of life
Or face the tears of reality
It was one night of fun
I wasn’t suppose to happen to me
I wasn’t ready
I took two lives
I’m so sorry
