The Strangers We Know

We walk along the shore,
sea breeze in your hair.
Friends, yet total strangers,
what an unusual pair.
Two sets of lonely footprints,
along the deserted shore.
We talk and laugh and cry,
lost in tales and lore.
We stand upon the peer,
watching the rising moon.
Beauty that touches the soul,
a gift of love, a boon.
We part ways in tears,
yet have never met.
Lost in mists of loneliness,
our souls are simply upset.
A friend will touch your life,
But true ones touch your soul

This truly touched me. Amazing are those who can touch your life without you ever actually meeting them. I have met a few like that, specifically through this site... This is a beautiful piece... thank you so much for sharing it. })({ ~Adreana |
