When the silence surrounds me
In the times you are not near,
I let my mind drift and remain
In the place I hold most dear.
I let it linger in your essence your presence
Leave it locked in your embrace,
Feel it stirred by your laughter and spark
And rapt in the times that make my heart race.
In those times all I hear is my heart
As it beats to the tune you have set
And as my mind swirls around you
I always look forward to our next duet.
