I pledge allegiance to the one,
that has the biggest, loaded gun.
I have nothing here to eat,
if it weren't for America's wheat.
'Cause living here in Afghanistan,
nothing but poppies grow in this sand.
So to America I owe my life,
But all I give back is terror and strife.
Death in my country is all that I see,
Maybe the next bullet is meant for me.
If I live to another day's morning,
I'll have to live it with great warning.
If I don't starve, or get shot today,
to die in my sleep is all I can pray.

Again the style is ideal for the stark message.
Are things getting any better?
What can we do to help? |

Well, America can try destroying first, those warlords in their clans, breaking their power and letting the Kabul administration obtain greater control over these people. But as far I can see, Americans are too squeamish to use such Macchiavellian tactics. |

I am sorry that I may have given some of you the wrong impression. I live in the United States. I just empathize with the people in other countries, especially where they are oppressed. I spent 15 years in teh Army National Guard and went to several third world countries and found that the people there are no different from any one else. Some have just been dealt a crappy hand in life. They all seemed to want the same things as the rest of us: just to live in a safe and happy environment. Thanks though for all of your compassion.
