From Birth To Death

Contributed by Kirkesp on Wednesday, 7th August 2002 @ 08:07:47 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I open my eyes to see a world as bright as known to mind.
With lights and faces much strange to me my memory is blind.
As time goes by I learn to crawl and soon begin to grow.
From boy to man I soon shall be in time that isn't slow.

A loving father I have become with children I adore.
I watch them grow in a happiness for them I would have swore.
From young to old the man I am is soon to strongly sway.
I then await much patiently my approaching final day.

My candle burning quickly it seems my life is near its end.
And with the souls of those before me in death I soon shall blend.
My body losing strength as I near my one last breath.
And then the end has reached me and I float away in death.
