Open doors, but it's colder inside.
Laughing rings from one end to another.
Lockers slammed.
Books dropped.
Running down that one hall...
Hurried footsteps.
Shuffled whispers of those who pass by.
Don't be late.
Tardy bell's about to ring.
Running down that one hall...
Say the pledge, hand on heart.
Say the prayer.
Sit down, try not to sleep.
Front and center it is.
Running down that one hall...
Lunch comes.
Can't eat.
All alone.
But who really cares?
Running down that one hall...
More classes.
More stares.
Clock moves to slow.
Bell rings too loud.
Running down that one hall...
Finally over.
I can breath.
Not a drone.
I'm still me.
Running down that one hall...
Go to sleep.
Try not to think.
Don't have bad dreams.
They can't stare at you here.
Running down that one hall...
that one hall of my highschool.
