All I Ever Wanted

Friends who cared, who are always there;
That's all I ever wanted.
To live my life, seeing little strife;
That's all I ever wanted.
To be a good friend, sharing love with no end;
That's all I ever wanted.
To be of success, to live life with the rest;
That's all I ever wanted.
To know that I'm prized, with my presence realized;
That's all I ever wanted.
But here I am, so sad and lonely.
Feeling so small, with so few words spoken.
No one else around, my presence here only.
I sit in my room, my heart deeply broken.
That is truly all I never wanted.

very sad, but you know, I think its time to open that door and make a change. You have a wonderful talent for poetry, put you need to see whats on the other side of that room. Its a fact that folk wont come knocking you have to go out and find them.
Lovely poem Kiresp, well written. |
