SIMPLE MINDED

When you’re simple minded
Things look really clear
The trouble with simple minded
Is things ain’t what they appear

If you’re a politician
Looking for a vote
It looks good to seem decisive
But it's acting just by rote

The underlying dangers
So glossed over and simplified
Makes you seem decisive
While others will have died

There is one politician
Who heads a braindead crew
They paint the world as black and white
Their braincells are so few

It may appear comforting
When Bush takes a stand
He appears to act so tough
But if future security
Is what really counts
Simplicity is not enough

Rand Beers is an official
Who worked for 35 years
To stop the work of terrorists
And put an end to fears

He says Bush has the balance
Very out of kilter
Simply offensive in his view
Looking blindly at the world
through a simple filter
It means MORE danger now for you

Bush is simple-minded
With a simple-minded crew
Scrap these ugly idiots
They are truly failing you
