i opened my eyes and found my ear next to a green seashell. echoing the sounds of silence back to me. my heart was sleepy, and my tounge had no color to it. seems time to eat a blue popsicle. my feet ache from trying to stand above you. or to at least see eye to eye. under your nose is where i always stayed. and here i am now. flat on the ground. face down. waitng for the grass to grow over me. then my momma tells me its time to eat. lord how i hate you.

poem makes emotional impact, there's talent here.
"waitng for the grass to grow over me", terrific line. |
