Bittersweet Christmas

Contributed by bigabb on Wednesday, 18th June 2003 @ 09:40:47 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Christmas time is now bittersweet
Happier times I used to meet
I have two sons that I love so dear
One is there and one is here
The thing that I mean to say
Is that I now buy one of them gifts, and the
other only gets flowers today.

Your poem is classic
----------------------------
No one want to learn to cope
in an event that has no hope
We hope time heals a scar so deep
It will take a lifetime not to weep.

the saddest part of any holiday is those that are no longer there, but as long as they are in your heart they are always with you
good write

I can relate to your bittersweet pain. I lost one
son on dec.2,and gave birth 13 yrs later to a
son on Dec.27! So Christmas' are sweet...
yet bittersweet.
Always remember the one you miss...
and keep in your heart...for him a kiss.
Angel always...godspeed....joni

Such sadness at such a time.

Are there many Christians in your country?

Or does everybody celebrate christmas regardless of differing religions?
