Tragedy of Love

My soul begins to ache,
As I grasp for someone to hold.
I see you walking away from me,
Just like I had been told.
I love you like you're part of me,
That words cannot explain.
Together we could always be,
If this world would just pass away.
I watch as the door shuts on my face,
I stand in the cold alone.
Watching as my love passes me by,
Listening for the sound of a loving tone.
The pain surges through my soul,
Doubts and fears consume my mind.
As tears come down like rain,
I turn from everyone's stares.
My body begins to slowly die,
The one that is part of me has disappeared.
As my insides scream and I wonder why,
The arms of love have left me in such tragedy.
