Hormone of Selection

Contributed by norm on Wednesday, 18th June 2003 @ 03:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

I know that hormones are the cause
of much dark poetry,
if a doc. perscribed some pill,
dark would turn to glee.

If instead of wanting death,
a pill would make things right,
PIll 'A' when taken with pill 'B'
would make you see the light.

Then girls and boys would join their hands
and all come out to play.
And sweet and joyous sounds you'd hear
throughout the balmy day.

And death would take a holiday
And hopefully t'would be
a renaissance of new found love
t'would always after be.

If you want a fellow,
Or then if you want a lass
which ever one you want, dear one
I hope it comes to pass.

But if it seems tres difficult
and seems a bother be,
You take a pill from 'A' or 'B'
Which does the work for thee.

If you want to take a hike,
There'd always be pill 'C'
No one's feelings would be hurt
For sure, not you or me...

Now, if you opt to want a son,
There's always capsule 'S',
Seems to me, the ancient way
is good enough, I guess.

"natures way preferred"
there's benevolence hidden here
in subtle humour.

I took the capsules A and B
I'm told they never fail
but then she said she'd like a boy
so I took an M (for male)
the nurse said you will both be fine
They never ever fail

She then decided she'd like twins
and so I took a T
and could they both have nice blue eyes.....
....................
I ran away to sea.

Pretty cool poem, I feel very strongly about medications, especialy for children and teens. Ive seen so many "depressed" teens get meds to keep them from being themselves. Personaly I think its good for people to go through a depresion or two. Keeps things in persepective. Any way, great write.
