I wish to see what cannot be seen
And have what cannot be had.
I wish to be what I cannot be
My heart once again is sad.
I wish to go where I cannot go
And feel what cannot be felt,
I wish to know what cannot be known
But 'tis not what fate has dealt.
I know here, in the waking world
All this feels somewhat queer.
But when I go to sleep each night
I find that which is dear.
