We've never been very close,
I'm sorry for the overdose,
You've always sat by my side,
When my life took a slide,
You tried to help me through hard times,
I never realized your advice was wise,
You've watched me grow into a beautiful life,
Thanks to you and a loving wife,
I made mistakes that hurt me so,
Its all my fault...I had to go,
Now you'll know that I'll always love you,
I know dad, that you love me too.
