You Rescued Me

My life was in a slump,
and I was just a grump.
Feeling down about myself,
like a unread book on a shelf
When you came into my life,
My marriage was in such strife.
You showed me how I should be treated,
so I would never feel depleted.
Here we are six months later,
I can't imagine it being greater.
You make me want to be,
a better person wouldn't you agree.
Our hearts are joined together,
for what we hope will be forever.
When we come across a storm
our talks make our relationship conform
The love we found in each other,
will never be to smother.
Respect and honesty will always come first
so we shall never be cursed.
So i write this poem today,
to say your love i will never betray
for my heart,you hold the key.
thank you for rescuing me.
