You say you understand,
But you don't.
You say you'll be around forever,
But you won't.
You say you'll never let me fall,
But you did.
You say you'll protect me,
But I was just a little kid.
I tried to help myself,
I tried to get though it on my own.
I tried to make it better,
But I ended up alone.
You said I'd never feel this pain,
But I felt it.
You said I'd never have to go down that road,
But you made me.
You said I'd be happy forever,
But sadness was all you made me see.
