Paradise

Contributed by Darien on Saturday, 14th June 2003 @ 08:45:00 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

If I close my eyes
You all disappear
No longer there
You cause me no fear

I can dream as I will
When you cease to exist
I can do as I please
Go somewhere other than this

I can be someone else
When my thoughts are free
Instead of worrying about you
And what you'd think of me

These experiences are profound
All this knowledge I share
But when I open my eyes
I'm afraid you'll still be there

Not bad at all considering you were half asleep as you say. I am figuring this is about someone you just dont want to be around you but the fact of the matter is she will always be there. So you have to deal with it huh.

significant in many ways
here is the example of a poem
written under (lucid) circumstances
about restrictions of self consciousness
liberation from ego through dream
has therphutic implications also
there can be no paradise without freedom.

Well done for not being fully awake. I feel this way many times. Nice perspective with this write.
