One Last Kiss

Contributed by chrissylee on Wednesday, 7th August 2002 @ 10:55:43 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Just one last kiss,
Before you go,
Just one last hug,
Before we part,
Just one last embrace,
Before I never see your face, any more.

My heart now full of tears,
I raised my hopes for you and I,
Now I will always hold,
So many fears,
Too afraid to love again,
In case I lose,
Just as I have now lost you.

You'll soon be far from my touch,
Far from my loving arms,
The arms that long to hold you,
To be with you for ever more,
Far from my lips,
That want to caress you all over, forever more.

How can I compare thee,
To another soul,
For you were the one that showed me,
What real love is all about,
To you I just want to give you a little advice,
Find someone else baby,
Don't hold on to us,
You deserve to be happy,
Beyond all else,
I just hope she loves you,
Just as much as I do,
Hope she cherishes you and spoils you,
Just as I have.

Maybe some how, some day,
We'll make it through the rifts,
And we'll get to be together,
But till then baby,
Just give me one last kiss,
One last hug,
Before you turn and go,
You better make it quickly though,
As I feel,
The waters are starting to flow,
Once they start,
They won't stop,
I'll love you forever,
I don't really want to let go,
Goodbye my baby,
I'll always love you so.

A beautiful poem, written from the heart.
A great write.
