My land was invaded
or so the story goes
But what we should remember
Is we live in todays world
We need to work together
to make it a better place
Learn from each other
and respect each other's ways
We need to build the bridges
Mend our evil ways
It doesn't matter if your black or white
In this Australian land
Reconciliation is not a dirty word
We need to walk together
Thorough the good times
and the bad

Is this just wishful thinking?
are we being naive
or is this the medicine our World needs
at least this poem brings some hope
the fire is missing though, the passion is not there. |

Mending Fences comes to mind. Of course it takes two to tango. The good wishes of one can only be that if the adversary does nothing to foster those wishes. Just my thoughts... |
