~Ecstasy~

I still feel your loving touch
Feel your breath on my neck
The sweet nothings you’d whisper
Still haunt me ever day
Your face is still so clear

In my mind’s eye
Your heart is always close

To me at night…

It’s when I miss you the most

It reminds me that I’m all alone

That you’re not here to hold me close

And comfort me when I’m crying

Nor will you be next to me when I wake

I cherished things like this

With all my heart
So easily
You were taken away…

From me and my life

And from everything that ever mattered

To me in this life time
Every waking moment

I try to be a better person
Someone you can call your own
And not be ashamed
Of me or who I used to be

I want to be with you always
And with that comes
A responsibility
Hold me close
I’m crying
I’m afraid to be alone

I’m scared
Don’t know who to turn to

You’re the only person
That makes me feel at peace
With me and everything in my life
You are the answer to all my prayers
I feel god has blessed me
With you

To love a person to the depth of your soul
Is the part that is played by a lover's role...

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
