Just Yesterday

Just yesterday the heavens were blue
Today, they are only gray.
Still not knowing what exactly to do
or even what she should say.
For the longest time,
her heart was locked and bound.
She never wanted those keys to be found
He came upon them that one day
and she closed her eyes and began to pray.
Telling herself not to fall,
but blindness crept on in.
The most tender words were spoken
around the time her heart was being broken.
Wondering where her head had been
as her world continued to spin.
Now the keys are gone again.
Lost in time--
for no one to find.
